Overview
The Code For Sustainable Homes assessment should be carried out at design stage to ensure a stringent plan is followed to maximise code points available.
A few practical examples of easy Code points include:
- Fixtures for clothes-drying space - 1.2 points
- Secure cycle store - 2.4 points
- Home office - 1.2 points
- White goods (specification for A+ rating) - 2.4 points

It is possible to achieve a significant number of points with little impact on the houses design, simply by making small, cheap changes and correctly labelling things to bring them to the Code for Sustainable Home Assessor's attention.
